India, at the pace of a lifetime.

Private journeys through India. Small parties, unhurried days.

The Temple in the Snow

A thousand-year-old shrine at 11,755 feet, reached on foot, and sealed under snow for half of every year.

Philosophy

We don’t sell destinations.
We craft the way to zero.

Śūnya is the Sanskrit word for zero — and it has never meant nothing. It means emptiness and completeness held in the same word: the pause between breaths, the silence inside a temple bell, the summit where there is nothing left to want. Way is simply the walking.

What it means to travel with us

Return international flights are included.

We book them with the journey, from your nearest major airport. Travellers who would rather use their own miles, or fly from somewhere we don’t serve well, can simply opt out and we adjust the rate.

  • Door to door

The journey begins at your house, not at an airport in Delhi. Flights, transfers and every mile in between are ours to arrange.

  • Never more than twelve

Most journeys take eight. You will know everyone’s name by the second evening, and the guide will know yours.

  • Designed, then priced

rates on request — because a door-to-door journey cannot be quoted until we know which door. Nothing is off a shelf.

  • A card in the post

Confirmed journeys are acknowledged the old way: a printed invitation, posted to you, before anything else arrives.

Tell us what you are looking for in India.

Design a journey at your own pace and keep it — no account, nothing to sign up for. Or write to us, and we will begin the usual way.
